Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette EXTASE PINKS: Review & Swatches

In Dior‘s words:  The legendary Dior palette, with its rich and long-lasting colours, offers an infinite range of possibilities. Our advice: Apply the lightest shade to the inside corner of the upper eyelid and a darker shade along the upper lash line. To finish, add a third colour to the corner of the middle lid and, for intensity and emphasis, apply another shade under the lower lash line.

What I say: I love this palettes. Ok, so they’re not the cheapest but the quality makes up for the price tag. Plus, it’s almost impossible to run out of it! This is Extase Pinks, 804, with five gorgeous shimmery eyeshadows:

The colour combo is quite interesting, don’t you think? My green eyes like purple – grey combination with a pop of pink in the inner corners…but be warned, this is not your every day palette! However, this would make for a great statement look for those special evenings 😉

On the plus side:

  • a vast number of colour combinations to choose from
  • highly pigmented
  • superb blendability
  • very chic packaging
  • comes with 2 eyeshadow applicators which are pretty durable
  • great staying power
  • a purchase that will last a long time

But… actually no buts this time. Apart from the price, of course. Although, IMO, 50 € isn’t that expensive for 5 eyeshadows of such a decent quality!

PRICE: Around 50 €.

Great dupe: Can’t think of any…Maybe, only maybe wet n wild if you are on a very tight budget.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely!

Artdeco Eyeshadow Base – to buy or not to buy?

One tiny little pot can make all the difference when it comes to eyeshadow… only if it was so easy with other things in life, right?

So, here it is…   Artdeco Eyeshadow base

  • a little goes a long way
  • makes any eyeshadow you can think of waterproof and smudgeproof
  • intensifies the colour
  • very long lasting – both the eyeshadow and the primer itself
  • it has a high rating of 4.3 out of 5 among 104 consumer reviews on MUA, which sort of speaks for itself
  • suitable for contact lens wearers, as it states on their UK page here – (my contacts certainly seem to agree!)
  • it’s a bargain at around 8£ (mine normally lasts for a year with almost everyday application)

Would I repurchase? ABSOLUTELY!

I have to admit this is the only eyeshadow base/primer I have tried, so I can’t comment on its popular rival – Urban Decay Primer Potion.  Ladies, anyone?
